A dupla finalizou o percurso em frente a uma concession\u00e1ria Harley-Davidson.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.noticiasmotociclisticas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Long-Way-Up-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-45324\" src=\"https:\/\/www.noticiasmotociclisticas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Long-Way-Up-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"373\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tr\u00eas meses depois da partida em Ushuaia, no extremo sul da Argentina, McGregor e Boorman percorreram cerca de 14 mil quil\u00f4metros passando por Chile, Peru, Equador, Nicar\u00e1gua, Guatemala e M\u00e9xico, antes de entrar em territ\u00f3rio norte-americano e atravessar o Vale do Sil\u00edcio rumo \u00e0 Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O desafio em &#8220;Long Way Up&#8221;\u00a0foi ainda maior do que o habitual porque, contr\u00e1rio das viagens anteriores (onde utilizaram confi\u00e1veis BMW R1150GS), a dupla encarou o percurso com a nov\u00edssima Harley-Davidson LiveWire el\u00e9trica, modelo que n\u00e3o foi projetado para longos percursos, com apenas 225 km de autonomia em teoria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c9 claro que a motocicleta passou por algumas adapta\u00e7\u00f5es, como a instala\u00e7\u00e3o de um guid\u00e3o mais confort\u00e1vel, pneus borrachudos, rodas raiadas, suspens\u00e3o mais alta e suportes de bagagem e GPS. Tamb\u00e9m havia duas vans Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4Matic, um Ford F350 e duas baterias extras, caso a LiveWire parasse no meio do nada e n\u00e3o houvesse nenhum lugar para efetuar a recarga.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De acordo com a imprensa norte-americana, Boorman disse que a experi\u00eancia de recarregar as motocicletas &#8220;n\u00e3o foi t\u00e3o ruim&#8221;. Essa vontade de viajar de motocicleta juntos foi realizada pela primeira vez em 2004 na s\u00e9rie &#8220;Long Way Round&#8221;, onde d\u00e3o a volta no globo terrestre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tr\u00eas anos depois, eles realizaram uma nova aventura, &#8220;Long Way Down&#8221;, onde o desafio foi atravessar todo o continente africano.
